8th World Water Forum takes place this week in Brasilia

The 8th World Water Forum, the largest global event on water issues, began in Brasilia on March 18 and will take place until next Friday (23). The event brings together representatives from more than 170 countries, including scientists, rulers, parliamentarians, judges, engaged people, NGOs, researchers and ordinary citizens - to exchange experiences, analyze problems and seek solutions related to the conscious use of water around the planet. In all, there are approximately 86 exhibitors, about 1,300 speakers and more than 45,000 people gathered in Brasilia to participate in about 300 sessions, debates and side events, all related to water.

The Forum has a free space open to the public, Citizen Village, which promotes formative, cultural, interactive, sensory and dialogue building activities aimed at improving water use. The village has a solutions market, a space where water solutions will be presented, which have been selected from all over the world.

Many activities parallel to the event are taking place in various areas of the city. Check out the schedule at site official and participate in the Forum!
