General objective: To analyze the economic viability and environmental gains of a possible implementation of the CRA (Environmental Reserve Quota) market in the state of Maranhão, and to investigate the opportunities for implementation of the CRA market in the states of Tocantins and Bahia.

Specific objectives:

  • Engage in political articulation actions throughout the project.
  • Present results to government and other stakeholders.
  • Collect data (land prices, agricultural profits, legal reserve deficits, native vegetation cover, and location of priority conservation areas) and conduct economic analysis. The analytical work will be written and disseminated as a technical report.
