Document brings clarification on issues that are in the daily life of foresters
The International Center for Agroforestry Research (ICRAF) launched this month & #8220; Technical Guide for Ecological Restoration with Agroforestry Systems & #8221 ;. In this publication you can learn about the principles of agroforestry and its environmental services.
The book's main objective is to guide the adoption of agroforestry systems (SAFs) in restoring and restoring altered and degraded areas through strategies that reconcile conservation with social benefits. Its construction was the result of a participatory and research process involving technicians, farmers, researchers, policy makers, and stakeholders on catering and SAFs.
In addition, the document provides clarification on issues that are in the daily life of foresters. Among them, what is allowed in APP (Permanent Protection Area). Among other topics is what are the key species for the recovery of degraded areas.
The Guide was conducted in partnership with the ISPN (Society Population and Nature Institute), EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), International Union for Conservation of Nature (UICN), Brazilian Forest Service and Agroflorestal Mutirão, among other supporters, directors and funders. .
