The 2017 edition of Virada do Cerrado puts the theme of water in the spotlight this weekend. In its third edition, the event, held by the Department of Environment of the DF, aims to pay homage to the National Day of the Cerrado (September 11), bringing the population and the public power closer to fight for the conservation of this biome. The program foresees activities in all DF Administrative Regions that include conversation wheels, music, workshops, lectures, park collaborations, agro-ecological fairs, walks, races, bicycles, storytelling, science circuit, scavenger hunts, environmental cine, theater. , ecological tours, among others. The opening of the event will be today, Friday, September 1st, at 19h with a show of local artists such as brasiliense Dillo and the group Pé de Cerrado. There will also be a meeting of telescopes to observe the sky of Brasilia. On Sunday, September 3, there will be musical performances with Ellen Oléria, Hamilton de Holanda and the Cláudio Santoro National Theater Symphony Orchestra, starting at 5:30 pm, in Parque da Cidade.
